#6 Wear eye protection Protect your eyes when participating in DIY activities or sports that involve potential risk to your eyes and remember that UV protection is as important as sunscreen for skin.
#5 Blink frequently. It is extremely important to blink frequently and take regular breaks especially when working on a computer. Also check that your screen and keyboard are positioned correctly.
#4 Wash your hands regularly This will help reduce the spread of colds, runny eyes and eye infections. Always wash you hands before handling your contact lenses.
#3 Drink at least 6-8 glasses of water a day to stay hydrated. Your tears and the delicate skin around your eyes are particularly susceptible to dryness.
#2 Eat a balanced diet This includes colourful fruit & vegetables, and oily fish such as salmon or mackerel or foods rich in omega oils and maintain a healthy weight to prevent high blood pressure and diabetes, diseases which impact on eye health.
