THE SEARCH IS ON FOR IRELAND’S DEFINING MOMENTS
Competition launched as a part of 2015 AMD Awareness Campaign. Was it the birth of your first child, overcoming an obstacle or even a career change that defined your life? Irish public asked to recall a defining moment to raise awareness of common eye disease

To enter, write a short description of what you consider to be your defining moment and what the positive impact or outcome was (in 200 words or less).

Closing date is August 28th.
Three winners, selected by a panel of judges, will receive an Amazon Kindle. These winning stories along with a selection of other chosen entries will be collated and reproduced in a specially developed campaign booklet, which will be launched at an event on September 14th to coincide with AMD awareness week 2015.
The booklet will also feature a selection of defining moments from some of Ireland’s best known personalities. The final booklet and winning stories will be available on www.AMD.ie on the 14th of September, where people can also access more information on AMD.
AMD Awareness Week encourages anyone who is worried about their eyesight to speak to a healthcare professional and get their eyes tested.
