Driver Eye Test

Drivers Eye Test – Group 1, Group 2

At Nichola C. Kennedy FAOI Optometrist (aka www.kilcullenoptician.com) we have the necessary equipment to carry out the RSA Drivers Eye Test.

In 2010 an EC directive set out new, more specific vision standards. This is to standardise the driving vision in all EC countries and improve driver safety.

The Drivers Eye Test now has additional tests including a test to assess peripheral vision.  This test is carried out using an automated visual field analyser.

Group 1 Licence Eye Test

For the Group 1 licence the test includes a basic peripheral vision test.

Group 2 Licence Eye Test

For the Group 2 (commercial) licence the test includes a full peripheral vision test.

And remember to bring your glasses if you have some!

And remember YOUR EYES SAVE LIVE!  If you drive, get your eyes tested at least every 2 years.

See www.rsa.ie for all details relating to Driving standards.
